Notes:
* Another excellent GAMH show. Spirit Mother (who we heard opening for King Buffalo at the Chapel, 2022-11-02) opened, Early Moods support, and Acid King headliners. I have to admit not having seen Acid King before, I was somewhat skeptical of the name, but not anymore. If you can catch them, do it, they are fantastic, unique.
* The show used the shows own between set music, which was really pleasant, a nice change from random songs being played, which means the bands basically were introduced by this music, and left with it, creating a very nice effect. Some of that is included in the intros or outros where relevant.
* This is the current version of the band, quite excellent. I guess Guy Pinhas (bass) and Joey Osbourne (drums) moved onto to other projects.
* I don't know the name of the second guitar player.
* I believe track 4 is an extended 90 Seconds, but not positive.
* While the audience tried to get an encore, and who could blame them, the set was done when Lori said 'thank you so much'.
* This tour is to support their new album Beyond Vision, and they played the entire album (One Light to Color Trails). Excellent.
* About Acid King: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid_King
"Acid King is an American stoner metal band from San Francisco, California. It was formed in 1993 by frontwoman Lori S., drummer Joey Osbourne and bassist Peter Lucas. Acid King have since recorded four studio albums and two EPs with a series of bassists.
The band's name was inspired by the crimes of Ricky Kasso,[3] who murdered his friend Gary Lauwers in Northport, New York on June 19, 1984. Kasso was nicknamed "Acid King" by his peers due to his chronic hallucinogenic drug use. The band's self-titled debut EP features a photograph of Kasso on its cover."

* About the Great American Music Hall (gamh),859 O'Farrell, San Fransisco, CA
* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Music_Hall
The Great American Music Hall is a concert hall in San Francisco, California. It is located on O'Farrell Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood on the same block as the Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre. It is known for its decorative balconies, columns, and frescoes and for its history of unique entertainment, which has included burlesque dancing as well as jazz, folk music, and rock and roll concerts. The capacity of the hall is 470 people.
...
In 1972 the venue was purchased by Tom Bradshaw. Newly refurbished and painted, the building was renamed the Great American Music Hall.
...
The Grateful Dead's album One from the Vault, the first of its "From the Vault" series, was recorded at the Great American Music Hall in August 1975."
* This is arguably the best music hall in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a sound system to match (as was proven in the 2023 Sun O))) show there, which featured earth/floor/body shaking sound). Supposedly Tommy Hall (who lives in the SF downtown area), of 13th Floor Elevators fame, has had a seat of honor in the middle of the rear balcony for years. If you don't know why, well...
* Despite their website saying capacity of 470, that is unlikely to be accurate, it's closer to 600-700 because it has top balconies, and a much larger floor space than the Chapel, which has a capacity of about 500, and has no balconies.

Dan Healy (Grateful Dead sound engineer), on audience recordings:
"I learn a lot from hearing those tapes... The axiom that 'microphones don't lie' is a true one. If you put a microphone up in the audience and pull a tape and it doesn't sound good, you can't say, 'It was the microphone,' or 'It was the audience.' You've got to accept the fact that it didn't sound good. When you stick a mic up in the audience and the tape sounds cool, it's probably because the sound was cool. So it's significant to pay attention to the tapes."
[assuming decent quality powered mics, of course...]
