One of the first shows I ever recorded, and it's a little rough, levels a bit too high, but perfectly listenable. It was the first time I'd seen Al Stewart since the mid-eighties when I saw him and Peter White at Toad's in New Haven. I've seen Al and Dave twice since then, and it's interesting to see, in particular, how rapidly Dave has progressed. Here he was plump and a little unsure of himself, but an amazing guitarist and great sideman. Lately he's lost weight and really come into his own as a performer. Can't wait for the next show.
