Albert Collins & The Icebreakers - 1979 & 1983 (SBD & AUD - with Champion Jack Dupree, & Rory Gallagher guesting - from Liberated Bootleg "Jammin' With Albert", Blues Tone label - 76 Total Minutes Long) July 1979 Montreux, Switzerland, & July 22, 1983 Nyon, Switzerland

Not A Contrast Clause: Previously a recording containing the 1983 (with Rory Gallagher) portion was offered here on Dime in 2007, & I believe was RESEEDed in 2009 & 2012, but I may be wrong.
I believe those offers are the same as the two tracks here, but there is no mention of their origin, except for from CDR. I'm offering a direct rip (DAE with EAC) from my Silver Disc.

Note to the Moderators:
The 1979 portion here is not from the Officially Released 1979 Live recording. That recording is from December 28, 1978 (some say February 2, 1978) "Het Wapen Van Heemskerk", Alkmaar, Holland.
That recording was his first live appearance outside of the United States, released on Munich Records. He recorded that with a different band that he is here with, that was a Durch band (Barrelhouse: Jan Willem Sligting, bass; Bob Dros, drums; Guus Laporte, guitar; Johnny Laporte, guitar; Han van Dam, piano; Tony Vos, Alto Saxophone; Tineke Schoemaker, vocals)

This is not a RESEED, but is a newly prepared 2013 offer.
I'm always looking for uncirculated, alternate versions, upgrades, etc., of anything Jeff Beck.
If you have any of those & can not share, please get them to someone who can do so - THX!!!
Enjoy!!!

Info/Note borrowed from a previous offer, Just an F.Y.I.:
From Issue #40 of Deuce Quarterly in 3/86 (Deuce was a Rory Fanzine):
Nowadays, every amateur band knows their texts and music by heart, no doubt. These sessions are usually very interesting, but it would be wrong to expect new sensations. The more I was surprised when I saw the two sessions of RORY and ALBERT COLLINS. Maybe it is their respect for each other which drives these two guitarists to give remarkable shows again and again (in regard to their sessions). COLLINS might think "I'll show Rory what the blues is really like; whereas RORY might be eager to show ALBERT what Rory Gallagher's opinion of blues is like. After the opening number at the NYON FOLK FESTIVAL in 1983, which was a blues medley, the whole session turned out to be a mixture of jazz and rock -and it was also a mixture of two kinds of modern blues. Four years ago (with CHAMPION JACK DUPREE on piano as guest) GALLAGHER and COLLINS finished with an encore of an old TASTE song, which was most surprising, especially when you consider the fact that no one had ever heard RORY playing a TASTE song after he started his solo career.
