I love bringing tapes out that nobody knows about. Today is another example.
I was just sitting around the house and I knew I should be posting something, so I decide to look over
a bunch of stuff I've transferred in the past and I see something that my buddy Ken taped so many years ago.
This is a brand new Albert King master recording, circulating for the first time ever.
I transferred this back in June 2014. I figured it was time to release this.
Recording notes:
Track 7 has the tape flip @ 10:57. A little talking is missing. Song is intact.
Then between tracks 7 and 8 there is another tape stop, which causes track 8 to fade in.
During track 9, there is another tape cut/fade in @ 0:20 min. a tiny bit missing.
Then the ending of track 9 is cut off and that's all there is.
I'm not sure why Ken was having taping troubles during the last few songs.
Regardless of the tape cuts, this is still a special recording that is finally seeing the light of day after 25 years.
The quality is good, close and clear. Thank You Ken for the recording and Albert King for the show.
This should get some attention.
