I owe everyone a big apology for making a stupid, careless mistake during this recording. For some reason, I plugged my microphones into the headphone jack of the recorder. This meant that the show was recorded through the internal mic of the ZoomH2. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if the recorder had not been under my jacket. The recording is listenable, but muffled. I am disgusted with myself. I'll do better next time.
This show had been scheduled far in advance of the death of Whitney Houston but once that tragic event occurred, the old set list went out the window and the show transformed into something of a tribute to Whitney Houston. Many special guests were in the audience and are pointed out at various times by Aretha. She performs two of Whitney Houston's songs, and together with Bishop Carlton Pearson, does a gospel number complete with backing by a choir. Bishop Peason also speaks about Whitney and offers a prayer.
