Petros Klampanis- bass and whistling.

Stage three is my favourite venue at this festival as it is nestled within a large group of trees and is away from the main action. It is often reserved for the quieter, less well known and more esoteric acts, and this year was no exception , hosting the sublime Arooj Aftab and her two gifted musical partners on bass and guitar.

Mohabbat.

I must admit this sounds a lot better then it did on the night, the PA seemed to be overdriven , at least where I was standing, or perhaps my ears are shot. However the results are very good overall, although the core sounds dont give as much top end presence as I would get using hypercards.
The audience were extremely quiet , I've had to remove virtually no chatter . However ,the first two minutes of the recording are lower volume and of lesser quality as I was walking through the crowd towards the stage.

It was insanely hot all weekend, around about 37c during this set at 9. 30 at night .Entire weekend was around 39c daily, hitting 40c on Sat ( which is why I missed her first show it was like an oven ), it was so hot I was only up to attending Friday and Sunday due to my considerable age , I was totally wasted by the final day.

equipment
Due to the heat I had to resort to using my
Core Sounds binaural mid range mics, (no bass roll off as my unit is stuffed) This has less high end than my usual rig > sony PCM M10 > 16bit wav >Adobe audition- adjust levels and lower bass with various tools, > lower applause using Acon declick and declip >XACT ( LEVEL 8 ) Playback for editing through Sony MDR-7506 cans.
Stealth mode 10 metres from slightly of centre.
