notes from orchiddoctor:
The Entermedia show was sandwiched between the Corcoran and Empty Foxhole shows. It was well hyped and sold out well in advance. I got my tickets early and sat second row center. By this time, I had gotten to know the band members well, and I ran into Lester after the amazing first set. I asked him if the piece had a title, and he cocked his head and said, "Lettin' the Air Out." It must be added that Bowie and missed the two previous engagements and would miss the next two in Philly. He was spending a lot of time in Jamaica at the time, often at the exclusion of the band it would seem. You can hear the influence on Nice Guys, especially "Ja."
