Here’s another BB King recording being shared on torrent for the first time.
I’ve had this recording for about 10 years and finally got around to getting it edited so I could share it.
The quality on this is pretty good. Though it isn’t 100% complete.
I’m assuming this comes from a cassette master, but we can’t be sure.
Thanks to gv0000 for finding the newspaper advertisement.

The opening act was Phyllis Hyman Band.

Just before The Thrill Is Gone, B.B. King says this “Also on saxophone, this is my nephew.
He just lost his grandmother yesterday, my Mom, she passed away, so give him a special hand, Walter King”

This is peculiar because we know his real mother (Nora Ella King) died when he was only 9 years old in 1934.
So he must have considered Walter King‘s grandmother as his mother.

The Thrill is Gone is missing the first part of song.
