Barbecue Bob and the Spareribs
"Cranstock" (held at Village Park)
September 25, 2010
Master AUD recording
**mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section**
I've been a fan of Barbecue Bob and the Spareribs from the first time I saw them...which was sometime in the mid-1990s at the festival formerly known as the Riverfest in Red Bank, NJ. As it turns out, Bob's been burning up the NY/NJ club circuit since 1981.
Bob and the guys play a style of music categorized as Swamp Blues. Yes, it's blues...but kinda swampy, I guess. In any event, it's good stuff. Check them out!
My thanks to Bob for allowing me to record this show for posterity.

Approx. running time: 80 minutes**
** The DVD version of this show runs 84 minutes, but in order to get the show to fit on a single 80-minute CD, I decided to judiciously prune about 4 minutes of non-essential banter and dead spots that were between songs.
The band is:
Bob Pomeroy - lead vocals, guitar, harp
Zonder Kennedy - guitar
Tom Diello - bass
David Lee Ross - drums
Zoom H2 (120 degree mic pattern) > WAV (onto SD card) > Nero wave editor (trim & fade end tracks, boost volume) > FLAC Frontend (sb-aligned) > FLAC
If you like this torrent, won't you please take a moment to post a comment on the board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run.
