I've been a fan of Barbecue Bob and the Spareribs from the first time I saw them...which was sometime in the mid-1990s at the festival formerly known as the Riverfest in Red Bank, NJ. As it turns out, Bob's been burning up the NY/NJ club circuit since 1981.

Bob and the guys play a style of music categorized as Swamp Blues. Yes, it's blues...but kinda swampy, I guess. In any event, it's good stuff. Check them out!

** The DVD version of this show runs 84 minutes, but in order to get the show to fit on a single 80-minute CD, I decided to judiciously prune about 4 minutes of non-essential banter and dead spots that were between songs.
