After my negative review of the Brian Wilson show a couple of days before this one I bet you're wondering what I'm going to say aboutr this one. Well, as much as I hate Mike Love as a person I have no complaints about this show. It retained a lot of the show from the 50th anniversary reunion (Carl and Dennis on film, the retrospective intro), and guess what? Mike Love can still sing! Sure he didn't write most of the stuff here, and I personally feel he has no right to call himself the Beach Boys (one guy is a plural? And don't say Bruce. He isn't an original BB, he's Brian's touring replacement), but it sure sounds like the Beach Boys. More than I can say for Wilson's off key caterwauling.

I still think the 50th should have been the end for all of this, though. Retire already, guys.
