I flew down to Tampa, and flew back less than 24 hours later, just to see (and boot) this show. Beanstalk (http://www.myspace.com/beanstalkjams) is a phenomenal jazz/jam 3-piece that toured up and down the east coast from 1997 to 2001. They recorded four albums (2 studio and 2 live) and had a strong following. They also did a 2 month booking at City Jazz at Universal in Orlando. My brother used to book their shows in Virginia and I have had the privilage of calling them good friends and spending some of the best times of my life around them. The band features Billy Carr on drums, Joel Lisi on guitar, and Andy Irvine on funky bass. Andy is the most established of the group, touring with several artists, most recently On The One. He was featured in an interview on solo technique in the March issue of Bass Player Magazine. Saxophonist Mike MacArthur makes an appearance on the last 3 songs. He has played with the likes of Roger Waters... and it shows. The last track is a "SuperJam" featuring the opening acts as well... Maggie Council, My Little Trotsky, Joe Popp (of NYC), and Tracy LaBarbra. This is the full show. Look for a DVD to follow with selectable 5.1, soundboard, and live audios.

Mix notes - No compression was added at any stage. Minidiscs were transferred in the common analogue way. The mix was done in nTrack. Only basic eq morphing, by ear fine tuning, leveling and fades done. I did have to stretch the minidiscs ever so slightly to synch up the audios.
Notes on officiality - This is my master. I recorded both sources by permission of the band. I am uploading with the full expressed permission of the band. At some point this audio may become "official"... whether that be availability at shows or on their myspace page or whatever, but as of right now nothing is set in that regard. Should that happen while this is still on the tracker, I will inform the mods and provide a way to verify that it is free to distribute.
Enjoy!
