Notes:
I was looking to test out my new gear(KAM mics) and decided this might be a good chance to test the varied dynamics of a sometimes loud, sometimes delicate performance.
I have been a Beatles fan since early childhood, which even at my advanced age still dates post break-up, and this tribute band did not disappoint. They looked very similar to the fab-4 and sounded more like the original albums (LPs) than the originals did when they were touring.
The first set was 62-66 material with the band in suits and mop-tops. For the second set the band was dressed in full Sgt Peppers garb and they used the tabla solo and acoustic 'Here Comes The Sun' to one-by-one change into the latter-days outfits for the White Album and Abbey Road material.
Their road manager stopped by before the show to ask that I keep the mics at a reasonable height, but they were ok with me taping and sharing the music.
If I had to guess I would estimate the crowd at around 2-300 and for the ones that made it for the full show they left very happy.
Artwork included made using pictures I took during the show.
Enjoy,
