Despite my trepidation, I figgered I’d seed a sorely under-circulated Beck show…

I’ve had problems with Beck fans here…most of whom feel quite content to grab shows and not give so much as a ‘thanks’ in the comments…I also have gotten stiffed, and under-credited for unleashing the 1992 demos here many moons ago, after bending over backwards to accommodate the fan who I agreed to let seed the damn thing.

So I kinda got disinterested in seeding Beck. I pretty much lost interest in his work after ‘Mutations’ and it was (and is) no skin off my caboose if this stuff just sits in my basement and doesn’t get out to folks who take shit as if it’s OWED to them…

The recent generosity of ‘alusche99’, seeding some shows I attended made me dig this track up this one that was sitting on my HD fer a while and seed it. My pal Brian taped it…

The sound at Irving was off this night, I think they were trying to get a big drum sound, so the boomy ‘metal’ drum mix kinda lends to some distortion.

The crowd sucked too. Most were there to hear “Loser” and\or to mosh, so the acoustic set, featuring the gorgeous early version of “Static” (completely different than the song with the same title that was released on ‘Mutations’) goes by unnoticed or worse…he gets heckled…

My pal got a copy of the setlist so the song titles I have come from that…Whiskeyclone lists “Cock” as “Touch of Class” but the setlist said COCK, so that’s what I know it as…either way, the song fukkin’ rules…it shoulda gotten RELEASED!!...(Casio is actually listed as “New Rap” on it, but it was probably prior to settling on that title). Anybody who thinks the Butthole Surfers copped “Loser” fer their quasi hit “Pepper” can listen to ”Jimmy Carter” and see Beck was copping from them long before they returned the favor…replete with pyrotechnics.

Whiskeyclone does state the recording of the show does exist, and either of us might have traded this once or twice on cassette, here is a CD from y first gen…the master is buried in my pal’s basement…we went digging fer it, but it starting getting late with no luck…he doesn’t have access to transfer cassettes to CD neither…

So until it’s dug out, take my 1st gen…ya might even wanna say thanks. It may make me dig out more…there is MUCH MUCH more…

Enjoy, but please
