Just this December I asked my buddy The Ramblin' Taper to send me all of his recordings he's done over the years since
the year 2000. After reviewing most of the recordings in the DAT tape box, I decided to work on this show first not
because it was the easiest to work with and not because of its sound quality but, because I had a whole lot of fun working with it !

I know after looking around on the Internet searching for information about this show that there's another source so
this may be the second source to emerge. Hopefully I'm providing you with a better sounding one !
And I'm confident enough to say that this may be one of finest Let it Rip Productions to date featuring two
mammoth icons of the music industry, Beck and Neil Young !

Now, let's talk about the music, the opening set begins with the multi-talented musician, Beck.
Beck is known to play many different instruments in many different styles
of music. But, with this opening set he strictly does what I would refer to is his folk/country
style of music in which in a way compliments and warms you up for the final act of the night;
Neil Young !
With the taper standing in the eighth row and dead center I was able to do things I really wanted
to do with this recording to pull out the best, such as dropping the wav.file to 32 bit for the mastering
part, adding a little bit of bass eq for warmth and depth and some amplitude expanding of the
mid-range and then back to 16 bit, normalized. There's just no denying when your working with a
good recording, because the dynamics of this recording are just smooth and sweet.
During Neil Young's set he plays a very nice variety of music going back to the early days to the
present, also in between some of the songs he tells some interesting tales of life on the road
traveling through the United States and telling it in a funny way, having the crowd giggling as well.
Personally, one thing I like about this recording is Neil finishes the night with my favorite song from
him; "Cowgirl In The Sand" and what a kick ass eighteen+ minute version of that !
Well folks, this is the last Let It Rip Production for 2007, I hope you enjoy this recording as much as
I do. This release is dedicated to my Internet friend and my bud, Jerry. You've probably seen him
uploading shows here and his favorite artist is Neil Young and this is especially for him ! I also have
have to say a big hardy thank you to Eric for doing a fantastic, outstanding, and awesome job on the
artwork ! As with all Let it Rip Productions, please just trade 'em, torrent 'em and most of all,
share 'em amongst fans, do not exchange currency for this recording.
Enjoy !
John

P.S. There are two different sets of artwork for you to choose from for your show !
Thanks again to Eric !!
