Since Ben Harper anounced he was coming back with the Innocent Criminal last fall
at the show at Weill Hall in Sonoma I have been looking forward to this. I was
luckily able to score seats to all four shows and was eagerly awaiting the opening
night. No issues getting in and settled and was expecting it to be a warm one in
the Fillmore. To my surprise they either turned on the AC or opened windows. It
was breezy and cool inside and there is some slight "wind noise" rumble. Otherwise
O am very happy with the results and the crowd was not the usual mix of drunks and
talkers. During the show people were shushing folts so they could hear the music.
It was an amazing show and beyond expectations for a first show of a tour. There
were times I felt the band was holding back a bit so I can't wait for the next three.
Enjoy this recording, go see these guys live and buy their material. The tour this
summer should be epic.
