Another road trip to SoCal to see Ben. Tickets to this show sold out immediatly
so I resorted to asking for help. Thanks to a friend I was guest listed which was
a nice change of pace. Out the door at 6 AM and arrival at my hotel at 3 PM due to
bad LA traffic. I got to the venue at about 5 and met up with a few folks from the
FRIC group. We killed time, listened to soundcheck from the outside and finally doors
opened. The Belly Up is a small club (capacity 600) and I found my spot. There was
no opener so Ben and Charlie came out about 9:15. From the first song I could tell
the band was much tighter than the start of the tour at the Fillmore in SF. The sound
was also really good and that meant if I had a good crowd around me the potential was
there for a good recording. Fortunately that was the case although some friends did
comment negatively about the crowd where they were. The setlist was similar to the
Fillmore shows since Ben and Charlie are limiting the setlist to the blues material on
the two albums they did together, some of Charlie's material plus a few covers. One
guy can be heard yelling Burn One Down both nights but that wasn't happening. The set
ended with an amazing version of When The Levee Breaks that had to be the highlight
for me and the show ended with Yer Blues off the Beatles White album. When asked if
2 hours of music was worth a 9 hour drive, the answer was a resounding yes.

Just the basic taper requests here and please no vitriol:
Don't be an ass by selling this or using it in a video that is sold
Don't modify the info file
Don't remaster and/or post on other sites that are not 100% free
If shared keep info file intact but create a second file with any changes
Don't convert to lossy formats except for personal use
Do support the artists

And Finally, For the ahole troll you don't need to bother me, you do not download
anything I record and I am not interested in anything you have to say.
