DimeTravel 198 ::: Thanks to the original taper, meself, and The Man In The Palace for lending me the recording equipment! ::: Corrections welcome ::: This is excellent. Aside from 2 short radio broadcasts I've put up, this is one of the only duo recordings of these guys & it's a full set, excellent quality & the playing is fantastic - plus they seem in good spirits. I think this is one of the clearest examples around of what they can do tgether on guitar. If anyone has any other recordings of this duo line-up (aside from 1993-03-09 "Jungr & Parker" show FM & 1993-12-09 "David Freeman's Blues&Boogie Show" FM) please do share them. I thought it was a shame when these two fell out, I enjoy Kirtley's playing & find it complements Bert's just fine, especially on the electric guitar. Anyway, a nice event in the English countryside. It seemed much like it must have been 20 years before in the British summer folkrock festival heydays, especially for line-up. John Martyn & Bert Jansch apparently replaced Rick Wakeman on the bill after he cancelled. The place was not too crowded & the scene was very mellow. A lot of the musicians hung out on the lawn without being hassled. A really fine day, felt like time-travel! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
