Total Time ::: 1:39:07

::: Extremely fine AUD. Check samples to discern desire or dabble in the dew.
::: Warts: Almost none. Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. A few mike cable glitches repaired & hopefully none were missed. #17 has an audible glitch. Few yells in #19.
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: This is the Mk2 44.10kHz/16-bit version. The Mk1 96kHz/24-bit version is available elsewhere.
::: Wednesday evening, 7PM showtime, $15 per ticket.
::: Went on at 7.15PM, ~150 people in AUD, taped ~6 feet in front of stage with lapel mike.
::: At one point Peter Albin suggests "the taper" adjust his collar - presumably he saw the mike!
::: About 9 months before Gurley had a falling out with the band & left for good.
::: This about 3 years prior to Big Bro playing the taper's wedding reception in California.
::: As of 2018, Albin & Getz are still playing gigs as Big Brother & The Holding Company. Rock on.
::: Since this was a mono tape, after remastering/patching, only the better R channel used for this upload.

Recording ::: Sony WM-D6 Walkman Professional Cassette Tape Recorder with Radio Shack 33/1052 microphone -> x2 Maxell XLII-S 100 master cassettes, Dolby off.

Playback 2018-10-28 ::: x2 Maxell XLII-S 100 master cassettes on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby off, azimuth adjusted for individual tape, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (96kHz/24-bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, -2.7% averaged pitch (speed) fix with single pass after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation or noise reduction] -> dithered down to 44.10kHz/16-bit WAV files (CD burnable) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded 2018-11-xx.

Line-up ::: Sam Houston Andrew III electric guitar, vocals // James Martin Gurley electric guitar // Peter Albin electric bass, vocals // Lisa Battle - vocals // Dave Getz drums.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 450 ::: Thanks to the original taper, Zongo, for lending me his masters! Since Zongo likes things hi-fi, I did both 24/96 & 44.1 versions of most all his tapes. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Damn the boys DO sound fine & Lisa ain't bad - in fact, she does a pretty damn good job, tho' IMO they should have forgone the female vocal thing & returned to some years of a 4-piece (or maybe added Nick Gravinites...) & emulated the sound of "Be A Brother" & "How Hard It Is". Still, this is a real fine listen. Great they have kept these songs alive. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
