Big Jay McNeely & Johnny Heartsman (and band)

recorded on 03 Jul 1993 at the 13th Bluesfest in Gaildorf Germany.

Another find from my vault (again while I was searching for something completely different:
I thought I had lost this tape years ago, didn't even remember I recorded it.
This is another absolutely great performance from this legendary festival.

Two more blues legends are featured here:
Big Jay McNeely (Cecil James McNeely, * 29th April 1927) sax, voc
Johnny Heartsman (*9th February 1937, 27th December 1996) fl, voc

Label: none
recorded with an old Sony walkman and selfmade microphone
This comes from my master tape (ugh, SONY UX-S, because they were cheap - but NO dolby),
so it's "analog master tape" > audacity > you

Sound quality: don't expect too much! It's very similar to my last Sherman Robertson upload, the crowd went
really wild (including dancing on the Biertische like on the Oktoberfest) and it's a distorted audience tape, not a sbd.
Judge for yourself - I like it anyway, it's got a lot of memories in it.
If you like the blues - this IS the Blues! Play it loud! Feel like you were also there.

Not commercially released by the artists. This one goes out especially to krautbeard! Maybe he can add a photo?
