My second time seeing Big Sugar. We got to the festival late and I only taped Matt Andersen and Big Sugar. I used to live a few blocks from this park so it was nice to see a show there. The mix for Big Sugar was pretty good. They started just after 20:30 and by 21:00 a lot of people left.
It was cool to hear the Johnny Winter tribute (RIP) and some English Beat lyrics thrown in the show. I had just seen the English Beat a month and a half earlier. Rich Hope joined in to sing, and of course Wide Mouth Mason is basically apart of Big Sugar these days.
This was taped pretty openly, with mics and recorders sitting out in the open, allowing for trips to buy drinks and all that.
