Bill Haley And His Comets - Live Salle Pleyel Paris 1974-12-12 + Alhambra Theatre Paris 1966-09-24 + Session With Alan Freed Brooklyn NY 1956-04-11 mp3 samples

Well, what a surprise to spring on you today! This trio of live amateur recordings was originally released on the vinyl bootleg "Bill Haley And His Comets Live in Paris" on the Doctor Kollector label. Although not great recordings, they are fun to listen to. Samples are in the comments section.

From the LP back, with no text corrections:

"During his long career, Bill Haley performed three times in Paris, firstly in October 1958 at the Olympia Theatre, secondly on September 24 th and 25 th 1966 at the Alhambra Theatre (4 shows) on the same bill as: Jimmy CLIFF, The WALKER BROTHERS, The PRETTY THINGS, and The SPENCER DAVIS GROUP. The last time was at the Salle Pleyel on December 12 th 1974 (room generally used for classical concerts).

Bill was also scheduled for November 1979 at the Palace Theatre, but the show was cancelled for health reasons.

You will find in this L.P., tracks from 1966 and 1974 concerts. We also add 3 titles from the legendary "Alan Freed Shows", recorded live at the New-York Brooklin Theatre on April 11 th 1956."
