* Bill Perry Blues Band CD Live At Manny's Car Wash was recorded November 27th & 28th 1998 *

I've been watching Bill play live since the late 70's when he was in a band called
Izabella playing mostly Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robin Trower & Frank Marino
among other blues classics, he wasn't afraid to tackle anything on stage and he was truly
mesmerizing after Jimi Hendrix died there was a big void in music and Bill knew it.

Iv'e seen a lot of the great guitarists like Stevie Ray Vaughan who could blow your mind live
and Bill Perry was the same way never playing covers like Red House the same way twice i used to
get goose bumps watching him at a little club called the Interlude in Blauvelt New York and
for locals in the New York area Bill was the guy to talk about on guitar, literally putting him
in a sentence with Jimi Hendrix was a given.

Moving ahead, years later the big secret was out of the bag and Ritchie Havens gave Bill Perry
the crack in the door that got him really noticed on the international scene even invited him
to play The Star Spangled Banner at a Woodstock reunion concert in Bethel, New York in the same
field where Jimi Hendrix performed, i wish i could of been there.

But i have seen Bill Perry play dozens of times all over a 40 year time frame and thoroughly
enjoyed seeing him because few musicians could dazzle an audience like him when he got serious.

This was one of those shows i wish i was at.

About the show

Here is another night of blistering red hot blues from New York's very own guitar hero
Bill Perry, who takes no prisoners and leaves no survivors when his shows over.

This is a common night from the Bill Perry Blues Band that play a mix of covers and originals now
that Bill has his own cd's out, what you get is a tour de force of blues like you never heard before.

You may have heard some of these covers before but Bill puts his own flavor on it, when he gets to
doin Jimi Hendrix if you've never seen Jimi Hendrix live Bill will definitely satisfy the void, some
awe inspiring riffs on guitar and the fingerwork on guitar has to be seen, explaining it doesn't do
it justice.
