My review:
Just a review of the Bill Wyman's show last night in Barcelona, July 13th. 2001. There were
no opening band for the show and it should have begun at 10:00 p.m.
but the show was delayed about 15 minutes.

Later a radio speaker, famous in Catalunya specially due to his love for the Stones and the
promoter of the show said in Catalan:

Hi family, you're welcome, are you ready for living an unforgettable night of music... please
welcome ladies and gentlemen Bill Wyman and Rhythm Kings...

Then appeared Mr. Wyman with a good evening Barcelona...
Glad to see you again... We are gonna have a good time tonight... do you understand...
you'll have a good time with us
tonight... talk to you later...

He looked as always: serious, but not as serious as when he played with the guys.
And it was until the encores when Bill talked again to the crowd...

And then the show began... with an excellent version of Let The Good Times Roll.

The place was not full... maybe about 1500 people... of all ages...
The sound was good, maybe the bass sounded low, but generally the show sounded excellent.
It was a nice show... with great musicians playing relaxed the music they love. It was like a party...

Special mention for the female singers with great "black" voice that sang deliciously...
and the crowd appreciated.

The setlist is above... I think it's quite difficult to differentiate parts of the show... cause it
was excellent, strong and split intensity, but I'd like to mention some special moments in my honest opinion:

MELODY was the fifth song of the show. The crowd loved it! It's a strong version, with the "black" feeling that maybe
you can't hear in the Stones version. Introduced as this song is by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Billy Preston
and sang beautifully by Beverley Skeete. And at the end they added the WIND section (2 saxophones played by 2 crazy men.
After, Albert Lee guitar solo was excellent.

Another highlight were the two songs sang by Beverley.
First was BABY WORKOUT, and later Nina Simone's song I PUT A SPELL ON YOU...what a voice...
she sang some part acapella...
increasing the voice and later decreasing...
the song began calmly...
but the end was exciting...
With MISTERY TRAIN everybody laughed at the end.
With no music on the stage, Nick Payne wanted to play the note of the train...
you know...the steam train... "CHOO CHOO CHOO" but he couldn't...
cause the crowd didn't stop making noise... after maybe one minute he could do it so the song ended.

And in the song TEAR IT UP.... it was a battle of music,
between Albert Lee's guitar and Frank Mead's saxophone, dancing in the stage.

After Tear It Up was the time for the encores but before Bill introduced the band.
He couldn't speak due to the crowd. So he said: "SHUT UP" and the crowd stopped.

He introduced the band, specially Terry Taylor (my best friend during 33 years!!).
After all the members of the band were introduced, Beverly said: Ladies and Gentlemen. Mr. Bill Wyman and the band played
10 seconds of Satisfaction, Meanwhile Bill was saying to the band NO NO STOP.

Another example of the lastest Bill Wyman's attitude about the Stones.

Then Gary Broker sang the famous ballad A WHITER SHADE OF PALE. It was a perfect version of this classic.
Then George Fame said that was dedicated to Gary's wife, cause it was their 33 Wedding Anniversary.

The show ended with Hole In The Wall, singing the name of the place where the show took place,
Friday night at the razzmatazz. And everybody's dancing, except Bill, of course.
