Normalized peak to 0.0.> export to CD Architect-track splits, fades, dithered to 16 44.1 -burn CD > cda files ripped as wav in WMP> FLAC level 8, align sector boundaries in TLH

Recording notes: The Variety Playhouse is an old movie theater that has hosted music shows for decades. It has the standard gradually sloping floor with theater seats in the middle section. The outer sections are open areas with stacked plastic chairs and a few tables for those who get there early. I was positioned at a table on the left aisle railing about 2/3rd up from the floor. The table is elevated above the aisle slightly which provides a clear view of the stage with no obstructions to the audio coming from it.

This was a very respectful audience so crowd noise was not too great an issue. I did adjust the levels in Sound Forge to bring the loudest claps, hollers and whistles down so I could increase the overall level of the music. When the band starts, youll hear an increase in volume suddenly as I adjusted my record levels; the rest of the levels throughout are consistent.

Show Notes: Very satisfying set by this legend from my youth, who I have never seen before. I was a huge Mahavishnu Orchestra fan but missed their concert ; I bought Billys first LP Spectrum when it came out. The drums on that record sound amazing, and he still has that sound. Mr. Cobham is in great shape and played amazing for a man his age [Im 60 and hes older than me]. The musicians with him are adding their own stamp on it, but they play ed faithfully enough to the classic Spectrum pieces to make them easily recognizable. Great interplay by some accomplished musicians. Im not familiar with the other songs -help is appreciated and I will change the torrent page list.
