Billy Joel Bottom Line New York,NY Early Show June 10, 1976 Lineage FM Broadcast > Pioneer Reel 701 > Hard Drive > Audacity > Dime Running Time 94 minutes Grade A- A FM radio re-broadcast on WNEW FM 102.7 in NYC of Billy Joel at the Bottom Line 34 years ago. I recorded this myself off the radio on my then brand new Reel to Reel.I'm not sure if this is the complete show as the DJ was waiting for a 4th encore. The tapes on that deck would only last 95 minutes so I probably did missed one. Anyway, on top of being an incredible songwriter, great piano player and an electric performer, Billy Joel is also very, very funny and this night he was exceptionally chatty. The Bottom Line was a small intimate place that held maybe 400 people and Joel had pretty much outgrown that place by 1976. This show is one of my personal favorites of all the bootlegs I have and still, after 30 plus years, I still laugh at certain points of this concert. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
