Notes:

I traded for this recording on CD-R about 8 years ago & forgot about it.
Its most definitely the best audience recording from the late 1970s I
have ever heard of Billy's. The band is spot on & the crowd seems very
into the performance. The concert was being played during the same time
Game 2 of the 1978 World Series was underway in LA. Billy gives updates
throughout the concert. Sadly, the Yankees ended up losing, 4-3.

There are noticable tape flips during the concert. The taper did a very
good job at doing these flips to not miss much of the concert. When you
see the "|" after a song, this denotes where the flip occured. They were
faded in/out, as well. For an audience recording made 30 years ago, this
was done incredibly well with precise time & proper levels maintained.

It's very hard to find a complete "52nd Street" show with good sound.
This was the very month the album was released & Billy played a good
handful of songs from the record. The crowd was not familiar w/ the
material (judging by response), but was received very well.

If anyone has any more information on this recording or concert, please
reply to this thread, or email me at live2cd@bex.net. I would like to
properly credit the taper & list the proper lineage.
