This is a master tape of 95.5 WPLJ’s 25th anniversary celebration, featuring Billy Joel. The evening was titled “Billy Joel: Questions, Answers, & A Little Music.” If anyone has heard any of the “Masterclass” recordings of the time, you’ll know exactly what you’re in for. It’s a Q&A filled with Billy’s insight to the music industry at the time, his history, and advice to younger musicians who are hoping to make a career out of their talent. My father recorded this on our old Panasonic Tuner/Tape Deck which I cannot find the model of onto two cassettes. Between the three tape flips you lose very little content, a real testament to my Dad’s archiving. The quality is pretty good for a 20 year old tape, and I truly hope you enjoy!
