Last time I was at Cherokee I was about three feet tall and was decked out in full cowboy regalia walking the wild west streets of Ghost Town In The Sky. As my friend Bob Dylan would say, "Things have changed". It's downright surreal to turn the corner on a winding two lane road in the middle of nowhere and suddenly see this massive hotel/casino jutting up out of the mountain landscape. Looks like this thing just fell outta space and landed there.

Joint was hopping on a Friday night. Luckily The Crowes were amped to a sufficient level to drown out the sound of hundreds of thousands of dollars getting sucked out of folks' pockets.

Different rules in gambling land as this was the first Crowes show I'd ever attended where the venue trumped the band and didn't allow any open gear in. Had to run this one on the down low. Still came out pretty well. Got 5 songs at this show that I hadn't seen at the previous 3 shows I'd attended on this tour including a most welcome "Ballad In Urgency".
