Here's a very nice Black Keys show I got in a trade many moons ago I thought someone out there might enjoy. It's really great quality - both performance and recording. The taper sounds like he was right up in the old PA about as far as you can get. An interesting fact - this performance took place on the official release date of "Thickfreakness". Something I love about this show - these were the days when they still played "Hard Row" (one of my favorites) and, even more significantly, Dan and Pat played "Countdown", possibly my favorite song from "The Big Come Up". You got three pretty diverse covers here as well. For all you folks that have recently discovered The Black Keys, this show will give you a little exposure to the sound the band had near the beginning. These earlier shows, the band seemed a bit more heavy. The songs seemed to be performed a little slower, more plodding and deliberate. And I mean that in a very good way. Check the samples and rest assured it carries the Uncle D guarantee. Enjoy!
