A Doodee Music Master Recording

This is the second time I got to see the boys at the Orange Peel. From the get-go Dan kept asking what time it was. He did that a couple times and I finally realized this turned out to be his birthday show as the clock struck midnight. Some things that were very different this time around as opposed to the show at this venue from 2003 - First, the crowd - the Peel had a packed house as opposed to about 1/3 full capacity the first go round. Second, and most notably, the attitude and prowess of the band - It was amazing to see the growth of confidence and musicianship of the band going from touring to support "Thickfreakness" to "Rubber Factory". At the end of the first encore ("No Fun") I abandoned my equipment near the soundboard and pushed my way up front. If you listen really, really closely you can barely hear me screaming my request for "Everywhere I Go" from the front of the room. I don't think that was the planned encore based on Pat's reaction but as soon as I saw Dan crouch in front of his amp and begin feeding back his Tele I knew he'd obliged. Felt like my birthday too. Enjoy!
