Gig Notes:

Support was the excellent Wolf People.

Well, the band certainly made up for their absence in 2008 when the show was cancelled due to illness. This time they were supporting the new album, Wilderness Heart and a fair selection of the songs were played. Though the album was only released the day before the gig, it was good to see that they had plenty of copies, vinyl and cd. Although I thought that they were starting to lose a little pace mid-set, they sure kicked up a gear with Let Spirits Ride and gave it their all with a storming show. The crowd certainly showed their appreciation to the band. Well apart from the drunk who thought he was being humorous, but obviously, he was the only one who knew what he was thinking (see track 11). From Queens Will Play through to the end of the show was absolute gold and those who missed the show will be kicking themselves for some time! My personal highlight was No Hits - superb!

Recording notes and sound quality:

The volume was raised by 3db LH side and 2 db RH side due to my position relevant to the PA. Other than that, I only lifted the high end very slightly. You will notice that the vocals are a little indistinct now and again, due to the volume coming from Stephen's guitar rig (not the PA). Crank it up!
