August - 08 - 2014
Day # 2 - Act # 3 (15:50 -> 16:30)

A MIRO/BLUESHACKS taping cooperation

Rec. Info:
OKM2R -> Zoom H2n (at WAV 16/44) -> SD card -> USB stick -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...
Recorded by dear BLUESHACKS somewhere close to the stage in that small tiny youth centre called "De Boogaart". Almost no chatters audible, just a fine recording.
All thanks to my "crew" from the "Psychedelik-Stammtisch" for taping almost all bands that were on stage, with a only few missing each day! Unfortunately this seemed to be
the last YELLOWSTOCK FESTIVAL, as - due to the location - neighbours and other nasty people seemed to have succeeded to pull down anopther great music festival.
That sucks! No pics available, sorry!

Another great band captured at lovely (but most likely final) Yellowstock # 8 located in the center of Geel, Belgium. This band from Lille, northern France was founded in 2008 and
have already one "longplayer" released in 2013. Without lokking up their facebook account for influences, but just listening to the tape, I was surprised that I got at least five bands
from ancient to modern music history of rock music right...The "ancient" one is, of course, THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, more "middle ages" were SPACEMEN3 or MY BLOODY VALENTINE, JESUS AND
THE MARY CHAIN, up to more "recent acts" like THE BLACK ANGELS. I would even consider there's a bit of THIN WHITE ROPE psych-Americana shining through in a few songs. Or is it just the
vocals that made me remember that grande fantastic long dissolved band? Anyway, I really liked what I got to hear, especially the whirling 60's like keyboards sounds that swirl up and
down on some songs. I would recommend these french guys as one of the best bands on Yellowstock # 8, and you're invited to agree...SB.
