I did a lot of listening to this show, & pulling various "obscure" CDs, as there was a good mix of tunes from various era(s), & bands these talented performers have been involved with (Blue Öyster Cult, Alice Cooper, Bouchard,Dunaway & Smith, Alice Cooper, Les Vegas, Soft White Underbelly) performed trying to insure accuracy of the above setlist, then found a post from Joe B, confirming it's accuracy, & adding some important details to flesh it out a bit, & properly credit where credit is due...
While on the subject of where credit is due, special thanks & eternal gratitude is again extended to a certain "mystery taper", who shared his recording with me, allowing me to bring it to you... in it's unedited, raw, naked glory.

If you didn't like the recording of the Blue Oyster Cult 16 November 2008 Fan's show at Maxwell's Bar & Restaurant in Hoboken, NJ, you would be well advised to steer clear of this one, as you'll absolutely HATE the sonic limitations, & audience interaction/participation. This specific recording will thoroughly damage forever the fragile eggshell that is your enjoyment of live rock & roll... Really. It's that awful. Don't download it, no matter how historic a performance, no matter how tempting it might be - you'll inevitably be disappointed, and I simply couldn't bear the responsibility for the widespread emotional trauma inflicted, particularly during the holiday season. Don't complain to me about it - go cry on someone else's shoulder. I shall be obligated to publicly call you out (you have been warned to avoid this, you know), while gleefuly reaching into my big bag of "I told you sos".
Now that that's out of my system, on to some attendee's reactions:
"The venue was really cool and the musicianship fantastic."; "a fine mix of BOC and Cooper", "seeing Les up there with Al and Joe was simply surreal"; "like having Joe/Al & company playing in your living room with all your friends in attendence"; "This show was really special". Having thoroughly enjoyed the recording, I agree largely with what I've heard, and lament what I was unable to see...
So here it is, folks, a companion piece for the BOC "Fan's Show", another fine document from a stunning & special weekend when the planets aligned, and the gathered BOC faithful were finely rewarded with outstanding music... Whether or not you were fortunate enough to attend, here's your ticket, with the opportunity to relive the moment, come in & enjoy! Please be sure to support the brothers Bouchard in any/all of their musical incarnations, by getting some tickets to their next show near you, or purchasing some CDs - Joe Bouchard's "Jukebox In My Head" has been released most recently, and is amazing! Please do NOT sell this (or any other) show, or convert to other lossy format (personal use OK). SHARE and TRADE it freely, and ENJOY this show as much as I do.
