::: Quite fine AUD. Check samples for to try a few nibbles or get ready to go whole hog!
::: Warts: Some AUD noise. #10 has tapeflip splice. Not remastered in my usual fashion so there's surely a few dullspots (it's from a cassette!), but seems eminently munchable.
::: This ain't the only version around, but it's another one!
::: No Lossless Bob number (yet). NOT LB-1049 or LB-2588.
Recording Information ::: Sony D-6 portable cassette recorder, single Sennheiser 300 microphone with shotgun shell y-jacked into both channels (mono) -> master Maxell XLII-S 90 cassette, Dolby B on.
Playback 2013-11-xx ::: master Maxell XLII-S 90 cassette, Dolby B on on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & speed adjusted (pitched!) for individual recording, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (LPCM 44.10kHz/16bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity (normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, phase inversion correction, volume adjustments, further speed fix, NO equalisation) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears. First uploaded week of 2013-11-23.
Line-up ::: Bob Dylan - acoustic & electric guitars, vocals // G.E. Smith - acoustic & electric guitars, background vocals // Kenny Aaronson - electric bass // Christopher Parker - drums.
Concert # 50 of The Never-Ending Tour & with the first Never-Ending Tour Band Concert # 10 of the Interstate 88 Tour, part 2: Late Summer Tour of North America.
Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.
CoolSonics 282 ::: Thanks to the original taper, Lochner! ::: Corrections welcome ::: This one goes out in memory of Richard Petlock. I miss you! "Silvio"... I can see your head movin' across a coliseum crowd. Two & probably really many more taper versions of this concert floatin' out there. This one could be around with some analog gens but very likely it's hittin' the BOB Street for the first time & it's certainly its debut as a digital from master clone, so get yrs here & now. Compared it to LB-2588, supposedly the better of the 2 around with LB #'s & purportedly one of the better '88 AUD recordings, for a few minutes & it fared very well, mono, but punchy with high end, relatively low AUD noise & fully digestible. Eat some if yr inclined. Enjoy!
Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes&more & Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace). Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
