OldNeumanntapr Notes-
This recording is uncirculated. Security was Very tight. Taper pretended to be drunk and staggered around to divert attention when entering show, while deck was smuggled in under a woman’s long skirt. No other digital recording from this night is known to exist. The other recording that currently circulates is from a cassette master. I had no idea just how tight Dylan’s security was until I recorded him several years later in San Luis Obispo and had to endure three separate pat-down searches. Hats off to Gene for this elaborate charade! For those of you who are not familiar with a Sony TCD-D10, it is the size of a college text book and was extremely difficult to smuggle through security, especially in the middle of summer, as this show took place in July.
