Stereo MATRIX from recordings by Erik The Wizard & SPOT, as torrented 2007 (see details below) - thanks to both tapers.
A stewART production - June 2007

Technical Notes - This matrix was processed by combining the 2 left channels from the 2 recordings to form a left stereo channel, and then the same with the 2 right channels.
I feel this has increased the depth of tone and separation of instruments significantly whereas a simple matrix made by combining the 2 recordings as 2 mono tracks would not achieve this nearly as well. Volume adjustments were made as necessary on each audio track but no compression or other audio effects were added.
Each track was treated seperately in terms of balance and synchronisation since Spot's recording has various edits such as a large section cut out of the encore interval and a few other apparent cuts elsewhere, and a fade out on the intro to Lay Lady Lay at the end of his disc 1 !
Also, while Erik the Wizard's is warmer in sound, it has many sections on the louder songs that are slightly too high in volume , although there is no extreme distortion.
Also, working with each track separately meant that any slight recording speed differences would be apparent immediately to me, although this did not seem to be a problem.
I would be very interested to hear your comments as this is my first attempt at producing a complete matrix of a show in this way, and I may try some similar projects in the near future.

SPOT - LB-4663,
(41min+67min), recorded by spot;; overlap between d1 and d2; excellent sound [A]; in comparison to LB-4647 that one is slightly warmer. Pop at d1t2 4:31 and a few more as this happens every time it clips and the clipped portion inverts.

Stew was kind enough to give a taste of this one ... and, well, it was very tasty! Now I can enjoy it all - canute

I think you have improved the sound very well indeed. There is a clarity to the vocals that was missing in the originals and you have managed to bring it out without making it sound harsh. This is one for the archives. Well impressed.- northwind

ROCK AND ROLL DONE RIGHT! HELL YA!!! - charlespoet
