This is Vol. 2 of my little tribute to Denny Freeman, guitar player in Bob Dylan's band from 2005 to 2009.


I've included some alternate takes for songs already used in Vol.1: "Million Miles" (with solos not only by the electric guitars but also by the pedal steel), "Summer Days" (a terrific version from 2006 with Stu Kimball playing a very effective acoustic guitar); "Spirit On The Water" (another performance from 2007 with different solos), "Man In The Long Black Coat" (2008, a completely different arrangement).

"Heartbreak Hotel" and "All Along The Watchtower" are the last two songs from Denny's last show.

The rest of the selected songs are some more of my favourites from this era, for example:
- In "Simple Twist Of Fate" from Muenster 2007 Denny plays two beautiful solos;
- "Floater" (2005) includes - besides a lot of fine fiddle by Donnie Herron - a short but excellent guitar solo (although in this case I don't know if it's Freeman or Kimball);
- "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" (2006) is saved by Donnie Herron's pedal steel and Denny's electric guitar.
- "One Too Many Mornings" from Vancouver 2005 is included because it was the last ever live performance of this song.
- in "Ballad Of Hollis Brown" Denny plays acoustic bottleneck and "Rollin' & Tumblin'" offers an example for his excellent electric slide guitar.
- the inventive and interesting arrangement of "Tangled Up In Blue" they played in fall 2006 and spring 2007
- the early "orchestral" arrangement of "Things Have Changed" with Elana Fremerman playing the violin
