Four years ago on election night in 2008, I saw Bob Dylan perform at the Northrop Auditorium on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Just as the show was letting out, the news channels were all declaring Barack Obama the victor in that day's Presidential election. As we walked out of the front doors of the auditorium to the campus quad, we observed people cheering, people crying with joy, people singing, playing tambourines... He wasn't my choice, but really, what choice did we have?

Four years, one day, and 10 Trillion Dollars later I found myself back at a Bob Dylan show on the day after the majority of this once-great nation re-elected BHO on his platform of forward progress to a society that is totally reliant upon its government for sustenance. As we've learned nothing as a nation in the past four years, I dubbed this recording, "Back In The U.S.S.A. (United Socialist States of America)".

I've seen Bob a half-dozen times or more since my first show in 1989 (just scratchin' the surface compared to many, many fans). This show was as good or better than any I have seen to date. Sounded great. Nice setlist - was great to hear "Early Roman Kings", a track off of the new release, "Tempest". Favorite track of the night, hands down, was "Ballad Of A Thin Man" with the VoxFX on Bob's mic... awesome!

This is essentially the raw recording. The only post-production changes that I made were to adjust the amplification very slightly. Very satisfied with the result. Samples are included in the comments.

On a side note, I have never been to a concert where I saw so many canes, walkers, and oxygen bottles amongst the audience! I was by no means the youngest one there, probably around the average age, but a lot of these folks made Bob look good...
