We have KINGHELIOX to thank for this...Eye salute Yew...

I've been really enthused by what I've seen and heard from this tour. When the dates were announced, I was in two minds whether to go to any. I've seen
a lot of shows this year (by my standards anyway...I don't get out much...) and what with the wife starting to show her displeasure I initially thought I'd
start cutting back with Dylan. As it turns out, that would have been monumentally stupid and short sighted, and well worth sharing the dog house for for a
few days. For me, this tour's been a revelation, and whilst I can appreciate people's frustration at the "Groundhog Day" setlist I cannot accept that Bob and
his band are doing anything but playing great, great music like it really matters...and that's why we pay the bucks and trail far and wide. There is no substitute
for experiencing what they do in the flesh. It's not like the records, it's not like the CDs. When it's right (as this run of shows seems to have been), it's a
hedonistic journey like no other. At this stage in Bob's career, that's remarkable.

Here in the UK, there's a "talent" show called "The X Factor". The irony is that the "here today, gone later today" acts that get on this show probably couldn't
even spell the program's title, let alone be caught in posession of the subject matter. Bob? He doesn't sing too well, he doesn't play that well. Can he dance?
But "X Factor"...he epitomises the phrase. There are few (if any) more powerful and influential artists.

Having said all that, I couldn't go to this one, but I'm bloody glad KINGHELIOX could...AND come back with a souvenir to share with us all to boot.

I hope you enjoy this show...and I'm sure there are a number of Good Folk out there who'd appreciate you sharing a few thoughts and memories if you
were lucky enough to have attended. Here's someone who DID attend...

Bob Dylan - Blackpool Opera House 22-11-2013

Bob is a master of change, we just need to take a career retrospective to see how he has continued to adapt to the changing times, now in his early seventies
whilst many of his peers lament the passing of time, he continues to re-invent his performances to meet the circumstances that now prevail, and delivers something fresh
and deeply poignant. The Tempest tour is masterfully delivered, musically gifted with understatement whilst still hitting hard without raising the volume or pace too much,
the Songs switch from reminiscence and melancholy, to brutality and sardonic humour, and all delivered from the 'heart' by Bob and the Band.
The current Band line-up is undoubtedly one of the best bands in the world at the moment, not a wasted note, phrase or stanza, an absolute masterclass in musicianship.
Bob seems at his best and most joyful when delivering the 'dark' songs, such as Pay In Blood and Scarlet Town, his delivery is akin to some Don singing along with the
Band hired to play at some mafia function, he sings with mischevious glee and swagger, and if the Band don't get their fee, he'll send them to collect later!!!
This was a great evening, these shows leave a deep impression. I hope you enjoy it as much as everyone else did, a lot of people left the venue smiling.
