Bonnie Raitt
The Palace Theater
Albany NY
June 2, 2012
Bonnie Raitt is a hot ticket, as they say in Boston. A live wire, as my parents might have said. She summed it up nicely when she said who thought 62 would look like this? The Palace theater in Albany is one of those beautiful old restored theaters that sound like you are in a cavern. I did some equalization to reduce the resonance of the boom, and to mitigate the shrill clapping and whooping between songs. The overall result is reasonably good. But the performance was GREAT. Bonnie does not sing like a 62 year old, and with her exceptional band, they make great music together.
