O.k. Dime Members,
were gonna liven things up here for the next few weeks with some "Blues"!
Real Traditional Blues from the African-American Bluesmen of the U.S.A.

IT'S GONNA BE A VERY MERRY, BLUESY CHRISTMAS !!!

Thanks to all of you who download these shows in the past and left "thanks" etc....
Thanks to "William Tell" and ALL his Swiss, German & Italian taper friends.

We would like to dedicate this on going series with no end insight, again to our original inspiration, "team lampinski".
We would also like to give special mention to "Zubbid" & Kneesfudd" who have helped us out in the past with setlists, musicians line up, etc..

Once again i would like to ask those that still have such "treasures" tucked away,
to please consider sharing them the way these generous people have.
None of us are getting any younger and what good will any of your recordings be when you're DEAD!

Notes from "Zubbid";

# It appears on BWRs Live at The Blind Pig LP under this title; it's same song as Louis Jordans Brotherly Love (Wrong Ideas).

I'm not 100% on my identifications of 01 and 03 but, at the very least, there are pieces on the 'Blind Pig' LP which bear substantial similarities to the instrumentals as they appear here.

Bio;
BOOGIE WOOGIE RED was an American Detroit blues, boogie-woogie and jazz pianist, singer and songwriter. He variously worked with Sonny Boy Williamson I, Washboard Willie, Baby Boy Warren, Lonnie Johnson, Tampa Red, John Lee Hooker and Memphis Slim.

He was born Vernon Harrison in Rayville, Louisiana, moving to Detroit in 1927. In his adolescence, he began performing in local clubs and went on to work alongside Sonny Boy Williamson I, Baby Boy Warren and John Lee Hooker.
In the mid 1970s, Boogie Woogie Red used to play solo piano at the Blind Pig, a small bar in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He recorded his own albums in 1974 and 1977, and toured Europe that same decade. Red appeared on BBC Television's Old Grey Whistle Test in May 1973.

He died in Detroit, in July 1992, at the age of 66.
