I bought the last two seats in the house for this show, and I'm glad I did.
Set 1 consisted of a 20-minute reading from his new autobiography, Time is Tight,
followed by Booker taking questions from the audience. Because the text of the
book is copyrighted, and you really should read it yourself, I've omitted that
portion. The concert took place after an intermission. Even though the reading had
been advertised as part of the event, some audience members were complaining
about it throughout the first half, and a few left during intermission.

Booker dedicated Green Onions to drummer Doug Clifford of Creedence Clearwater Revival,
who was in attendance, and who happened to be sitting right in front of us. Coincidentally,
we'd just bought tickets to John Fogerty for March 15 and had been listening to CCR
on the way to the show. Two months later as we were walking into the Fogerty show, we got
word that it had been canceled due to Covid-19. This show with Booker T Jones is the last one
we attended before the quarantine.
