Notes: Another rare treat from the Stax veterans. Similar to the early show from the same date, but with enough differences to make it a must-have for fans. I was again seated right in front of the stage, but on the right side this time, just in front of Steve Cropper. Because of the proximity of his monitor, the guitar is much more prominenent on this recording than on the one from the early show. Once again, there is occasionally a bit of noise from the waiter, but it's brief.

The major differences from the early set are that "Time Is Tight" is the slow-intro album version (from the soundtrack to the film "Up Tight!") rather than the fast-from-the-beginning single version, and that "Dock of the Bay" appears during the encore.

As with the early show, I've preserved intro/outro chatter. You might be able to squeeze this onto one disc by cutting that stuff out, but I wanted to leave the option open.

Enjoy!

P.S. Congratulations to "Grandpa" Dunn!
