First, a word of explanation as to the missing track and the incident that caused it. I was sitting in my seat, minding my own business while trying to ignore this rude, drunken couple who were not only shouting “Play Harbor Lights” at the top of their lungs but disturbing the people around them enough to cause some people to get up and find other seats in the back of the hall. Finally, security stepped in and attempted to tell these people to get it under control, but they became angered and stumbled from their seats in an attempt to continue the argument. They fell into me in the process, knocking my recorder to the floor. I scrambled to retrieve it and not draw attention, but I discovered after the couple had been removed that the recording had stopped, cutting the 10th song in the set off about 15 seconds into it. I got the recording re-started just as the next song began and recorded the rest without further trouble. I decided to upload this anyway because the recording is sonically pretty good. So, “Love Look What You’ve Done To Me” is missing from this seed.

Scaggs is pretty much playing the same exact setlist during this tour, and there is already another seed from the previous night in Boston. Maybe there will be others as well. As Boz said in an interview, “I never get tired of singing the hits. Especially when I get great musicians to tour with me.”

And his band is really tight. Shane Theriot displays great chops in taking over the lead guitar seat. Duane Allman, Robben Ford and many others have played the well-known guitar solo from “Loan Me A Dime,” and Theriot fits right in with that illustrious group. It’s unusual for a lead guitarist to limit himself to just one instrument, but Theriot played his green guitar all night long. Paul Nagel was outstanding on organ as well.
