A nice gig. I was not impressed by guitarist Dean Brown who overplayed to the max, but Dave Weckl and Randy were awesome. Bassist Chris Minh Doky did a fine job whereas keyboardist George Whitty did not make much noise at all. And Ada Rovatti on sax, ell, she had no chance from the get go. She did a good job but all of my attention lay with Dave and Randy. Kind of a strange reunion, the music is beautiful but to call it a reunion? Nah. Tribute would have been much better, and would probably have taken some pressure off the whole thing.

They lost the plot at times, no biggies but noticeable. When I met Randy in the interval he said this was only their third gig and that they hadn't had time to rehearse.

I filmed about 30 minutes which I'll happily share later on if anyone wants to see it.
