Mydland recorded and mastered a solo album, but it was never released.
Intended for this album were "Tons Of Steel
with Monty Byron on guitar, "Maybe You Know , "Nobody's", "Long Way To Go",
and "Dreams".

Possibly the sessions discussed with Betty Cantor-Jackson in "The DeadHeads
Taping Compendium Vol 2" .

TDHTC: "You recorded music for a Brent Mydland solo album that was never
released, correct?" Cantor-Jackson:
"Yeah, we worked on it for a year, between everything else.
Phil used to come into the studio every night and sit down and listen with a
big grin on his face. He loved it.
That was great stuff. It's the best of Brent and the best of me. Someday I'd
really like to put it out. You can definitely hang out inside those mixes"

Here is Brent's unreleased solo album from '82 that I got from another tracker. I kept the files exactly the same. I did however change the folder name as the original had simply "1" as the title.

While I was at it, I went ahead and made a cover as well.

I had to remove the track, "Gentlemen Start Your Engines" as it was released on the "So Many Roads" boxed set.
I also deleted the other two so-called "outtakes" from the "Built to Last" album.
Both tracks were instrumentals with drum machines and I couldn't really say for sure that those were what they claimed to be in the original fileset. Sure doesn't sound like Jerry or Bobby on the guitar. Better safe than sorry...

The original files also included tracks from Brent's old band, Silver.
Not wanting this to get banned again, I deleted those two tracks as well. I figure even if the Silver album never came out on CD it was officialy released on vinyl.

So here we have just the amazing, unreleased Brent Mydland solo album.

Enjoy and trade freely, but NEVER sell or trade for profit!!
