This was my second attempt to an amatorial recording after J. Rembourn's (before that, I had been busy recording Italian folksingers' soundboards for a private radio in Rome), and I must admit this one wasn't particularly lucky.
The deck I was using, a portable JVC KD2, was in fact missing my Sennheiser mics, borrowed to some friends' band for the night. When a friend informed me that Cockburn was in town, it was too late for getting my microphones back; and I had to cope with two different mics (don't even remember their brand).
Thus equipped, I finally sat in front of a stage, half a venue away, which wasn't even good in terms of acoustics.
All of the above considered, this recording that I'm seeding isn't as bad as one might imagine: I gave it a B, and you may add a plus or a minus according to your tastes, but that's the correct letter, IMHO.
Let's say that, given its age, I don't consider it being 'collectors only' stuff.
There is some hiss, a few distorted moments, but I'm not equipped to properly handle them, so I decided not to.

The night wasn't unfortunate for me alone, since Bruce himself was suffering from a powerful intestinal virus - you can hear him accellerate at times, waiting for the right moment to swiftly disappear behind the stage. Towards the end he kept apologizing. The performance was abandoned when he decided he had had too much (and he didn't spare any of his own strenght, believe me).

Despite his poor health condition, he gave us quite a good show nonetheless!
