Rodney Crowell Trio w/Will Kimbrough and Jenny Scheiman

Houston-born songwriter Rodney Crowell took his talents to Nashville in the 1970s, and has been evolving ever since. His 1988 album Diamonds and Dirt garnered five No. 1 country singles, including one with his then-wife Rosanne Cash, with whom he still works today.

Accompanied by Jenny Scheinman on violin and backing vocals and Will Kimbrough on guitar, percussion and backing vocals, Crowell bookends his set with a pair of songs from his latest CD, the Joe Henry-produced Sex & Gasoline.

Crowell also includes the song "Dancin' Circles 'Round the Sun," which appeared on 2005's acclaimed CD The Outsider, while he revisits the song cycle of "I Wish It Would Rain" and "Wandering Boy" from his 2001 autobiographical release, The Houston Kid.
