A few weeks ago I requested details of the JimCT version of this show which was kindly uploaded by KM (Bosstrade). That version does not match these tapes.

Hrubesh also uploaded 2 samples he had of Born In The USA in mp3 format for me to check and I was able to verify the one that he had labeled as "Looking For The Answer" matches these tapes. I do have a version of "Looking For The Answer" as uploaded to ABMS (and Jungleland) which does not match these tapes.

My copy appears to be a little fresher with more of the crowd introduction than the version that hrubesh has which also had some mild digital clipping and which for me gives this copy the edge. On that basis I have decided to upload my copy but because a version is already out in the collecting community I have not spent much time on it. Given that there are at least 3 versions of this show and with some confusion about the versions available then some collectors may also have missed this one which is very listenable and the version I prefer out of the three I now have. The sound quality is pretty good though there is some noisy shouting and excited chatter at times including at the very beginning where you are warned to keep the volume down.

Transfer using a Yamaha KX460 Cassette Deck with Dolby B and play trim at about the 2 O'Clock position to boost treble a little. No post transfer processing was performed except for normalisation of the volume and splitting and error correction.

Tapes obtained from a UK Record Fair while the tour was still ongoing. 3TDK D90, D60, D60 tapes.

Recorded using Audacity and files split using CD Wave. Tested for errors using TLH. Fixed versions of three tracks are provided after an issue with Born To Run was highlighted by TLH. Fixed by importing and rexporting in Audacity and then using TLH to fix the resultant SBEs.

Tape changes after "The River", Thunder Road, Downbound Train, Rosalita and Bobby Jean. No fades added for tape ends.

The following order and disk configuration matches "Looking For The Answer" but alternative configurations may be appropriate.
