Sydney Night 1 Notes

A busy 24 hours leading up to this show, departing from Brisbane and returning to
Melbourne to drop my wife home, thanks honey for your help in Brisbane, picking up my
13 year old son, returning to Sydney and planning our attack for the week.

The first Sydney show was the shortest of the tour, coming in at 2 hours and 39
minutes.
Bruce opened with 'American Land' to celebrate a belated 'St Patricks' day and played
11 different songs from the previous Brisbane Show
Introducing the band during "My City of Ruins," Bruce acknowledged the fun they'd had
in Sydney their last time here: "We're happy to be back in Sydney, scene of the Great
Power Failure!" The March 22, 2003 Sydney show in question had a total power failure
occur not once but three times, in the middle of numbers. He said ten years ago that it
was a show he wouldn't forget, and he made that amusingly clear tonight.
